       The 2020 Pilgrimage cancelled

We will rearrange it as soon as it is possible and safe.

The Pilgrimage of Reconciliation to Japan

27 Oct - 12 Nov 2020

As of 10 June 2020

The Trustees of Agape World have today decided that the 2020 Autumn Pilgrimage of Reconciliation to Japan will be cancelled, due to the public health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Paul Dakin, Chriman of Agape World, released the statement below:-

It was with great reluctance that the Trustees cancelled the 2020 Pilgrimage to Japan. We did not want to disappoint the people who were so keen to take part, but also recognised that the over-riding concern was to protect the pilgrims and the team.

In view of the ongoing pandemic and travel restrictions, the Trustees had little choice. We hope that it will soon be possible to plan a new Pilgrimage, perhaps for next year.

One piece of encouraging news is that the Japanese embassy is hoping to hold the Reconciliation reception in the autumn.

As soon as some dates are suggested, we will inform you.

We hope that you are keeping well and safe during this trying time. For “things will get better”, as Captain Tom has repeatedly said.

We look forward to meeting all our friends and supporters in the not too distant future.

Yours fiathfully,

Paul Dakin, Chairman
