As we mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II—a time to reflect on resilience, unity, and peace—Agape World is embracing a new chapter. To enhance efficiency and adaptability, we have transitioned to a streamlined leadership structure.
We are pleased to have Jacob John serving as Acting Chairman, ensuring continuity and guiding our mission forward. Our dedication to our vision and community remains as strong as ever.
Keiko C HOLMES OBE
Founder
Keiko’s sincere commitment to seeking forgiveness and reconciliation has deeply moved many former FEPOWs and their families, transforming even the most intensely negative feelings toward Japan and its people. Her journey began with the tragic loss of her husband and a profound encounter with the graves of unknown British soldiers—former POWs in Japan during WWII—in her hometown of Iruka, Mie Prefecture.
She now dedicates her time to sharing her powerful testimonies at universities and churches, fostering understanding, healing, friendship, and the divine unconditional love of Agape. They include instances of physical healing following acts of forgiveness. Keiko visited the United States, Canada, Australia, Holland, Singapore and India.

Jacob JOHN
Acting Chariman
Jacob is a distinguished business leader hailing from Singapore and a graduate of the renowned Raffles Institution. He served two and a half years in the Singapore Navy as a Gunnery Officer before leaving to train as an accountant in the UK. He later founded a software company specialising in information retrieval strategies. Driven by a deep passion for transforming lives, Jacob remains deeply engaged in faith-based initiatives, serving as a Director at the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship, where he continues to inspire and uplift others.
His unwavering commitment to service, reconciliation, and community-building underscores his importance in this new chapter of Agape World’s journey.
Harue TERRY
Harue oversees Agape World's finances with diligence, ensuring compliance with the UK Charity Commission's accounting and audit regulations.
An energetic and natural problem solver, she brings a wealth of experience and resilience, shaped by her journey across the former Eastern Bloc by train before settling in the UK in the 1970s. Her journey by ship to Nakhodka in the former Soviet Union, a domestic flight to Moscow then a rail crossing through Eastern Europe, remains a vivid memory. Beyond her successful Dorayaki business, she is actively involved in community care, exploring to establish a retirement home for Japanese-speaking elders in Kent.
Hiroko UENO-McISAAC
Hiroko manages the content of Agape World's website. Drawing from her experience as a foreign correspondent for a broadsheet newspaper, she has integrated the previously separate Japanese and English websites, enhancing their cohesion while remaining true to Agape's unique mission.
Passionate for the Truth, such as "The words of the mouth are deep waters, but the fountain of wisdom is a rushing stream" (Proverbs 18:4). She is dedicated to studying and teaching ancient Hebrew and Aramaic texts, which are the foundational building blocks of the Creation, much like atoms are for the physical world.

Our Japanese team coordinates Keiko’s trips to Japan, organising her talks and lectures at universities and churches to share the message of Agape.
